This happens to your data
We also find it unpleasant when online platforms collect and use an inappropriate amount of data about us. We have therefore decided on principle to reduce the collection of data to a minimum. We therefore only collect the data that is absolutely necessary for the functioning of our platform!
1. Collection
We collect your profile data, the contents of your thought network, and generic usage data. The usage data shows us when, where, and how you use our platform in your everyday life.
2. Redirection
We will only forward your data to the contacts you have designated for forwarding. Make sure that you only share the data that you really want other contacts to see!
3. Exploitation
Regardless of the pricing model you choose, we use your information to provide you with targeted information from our partner companies. However, we do not forward your data.
4. Storage
We store your data on your endpoints, your contacts’ endpoints if you have enabled data sharing with those contacts, and on our servers in Europe.
5. Restoration
We regularly make copies of data on our servers for disaster recovery. Data can usually be recovered at least up to the last copy.
6. Deletion
Of course, we enable the complete deletion of your personal data. This is currently still a manual process. To do so, write an email to mail@mentawise.com.
7. Protection
We secure access to our servers using industry-standard techniques. However, like all other companies worldwide, we cannot completely rule out unauthorized access to our servers.
8. Encryption
We encrypt your data on public communication channels using industry-standard techniques. Your data is not encrypted on our servers or on shared devices.
9. Hacker attacks
If your endpoints, your contacts’ endpoints, or our servers are hacked, we cannot guarantee that your data will be stolen or tampered with.
10. Liability
We are not liable for any damage caused by the loss or unintentional manipulation of your data, e.g. due to a failure of our servers or due to hacker attacks.
11. Change (privacy policy)
We reserve the right to make changes to the privacy policy at any time. You always have the right to terminate your contract immediately in case of changes.
12. Validity
The data protection provisions agreed with legal framework conditions remain valid, even if other provisions lose their validity due to legal framework conditions.
